Hellen Van Meene

I researched HVM for BA dissertation, looking at the use of subject as model in youth portraiture. This interview discusses the extent of her control over the subject in her portraiture work …Interview with Hellen Van Meene.September 2007.

Starting to stray away from her signature square format, Van Meene has recently shown new work from the US, 2007 and Russia, 2008, also using a panoramic camera. The work is a mix portraiture and still life. The work was exhibited at Sadie Coles HQ between 4 September 2008 – 11 October 2008.
